God leares one Just Man from the Family of Enoch, with all his House, which pleased God according to His Will
XXXV. 1. And I will leave a nghteous man *of thy race °, with all his house who shall act according to My will. From
XXXIV. ? Sok. supports text but that it omits nor sow … given them. A reads: They turned from My law and My yoke and raised up worthless races such as feared not God nor worshipped Me, but began to bow before vain gods, and denied Me, the only God. 2 Unjust deeds and harlotries and services of idols, B; Sok. adds and evil ser- vice. 5 B Sok. omit. * A adds all.

name is found in Gen. xiv. 1, 9g; differently applicd: dvéyvow ev ypapy Dan. ii.14. The derivation is doubt- ayia “Evy, 87: xalye wai ipeis amo- ful, being éri-aku = servant of the orhoeobe amd nupiov, topevdpevar Kata. moon-god (Delitzsch), ora compound saoav rovnpiay ‘éOvav, nai mojoere from ‘IN; hence a lionlike man «ard macay dvopiay Soddpov. 3. (Gesenius). The words immediately subsequeut XXXIV. 1. Cast off My yoke: to those just quoted from Test. Napht. ef. for phrase xlviii. g; Ecclus. xxviii. seem to be in part derived from this 19, 20; Matt. xi. 29. Sow vain verse: kal éndfea ipiv xipios aixpa- seeds. This is obseure. The words Awoiay .. . tas dy dvaddoy Kuptos. seem to be metaphorical and not to avras tpas is simply an adaptation refer to Deut. xxii. 9. Deny, &c.: of I will bring a deluge upon ef.
